Open Earth landscaping began as "Spaulding Landscaping" Open Earth was founded by Jay Spaulding, a local VT landscaping / design & horticulture graduate who first began his operation in 1999 as an part time endeavor. With his newly obtained degree, inherited business sense, and strong determination, he set out to follow his dream of becoming an entrepreneur utilizing his skill sets.

In 2001, after 2 years of great success, the business name changed and the decision was made to focus all time and efforts into growing the company making it a full time career.

Since then the continual evolution of Open Earth has been blessed, as the company continues to grow substantially. Open Earth contributes this success to the ever growing client base seeking the unmatched professionalism and quality craftsmanship that Open Earth offers.
